Cookies Policy

Effective: 7 June 2026 · Last updated: 7 June 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how Trace By Tested Pty Ltd (ABN 77 683 499 210), trading as GeoTrace, uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. We also use browser local storage, which serves a similar purpose but persists data without sending it to the server on every request. In this policy, "cookies" includes both.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

These are essential for the site to function. They cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality.

  • Authentication session (Supabase) — keeps you signed in.
  • Cart state (local storage) — remembers items in your cart between page loads.
  • Security tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery during checkout and account actions.

Functional

These remember your preferences, such as theme or recently viewed devices, to improve your experience.

Analytics

We may use first-party, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, referrers, broad device categories). No analytics tooling is active by default. If we add analytics, we will update this policy and surface a notice in the site.

3. Third-party cookies

When you proceed to checkout you are redirected to Stripe (checkout.stripe.com), which sets its own cookies to process payments securely. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies. We do not control them.

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent sign-in, checkout, and the shopping cart from working. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals as there is no consistent industry standard for them.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Questions? Email tracebytested@gmail.com.
